Internet Download Manager is an accelerator and manager application for internet downloads. It handles multiple downloads and allows pausing, resuming and queuing the files. It works with FTP, file servers and video web sites and is compatible with the popular web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, iExplorer.
The program integrates with the web browsers and whenever a download is detected it is launched automatically, even supporting firewalls, proxy and redirections. It offers live preview for multimedia files even if the files are zipped, and performing task after a download is done such as hibernating or shutting down the computer.
As for 6.x versions, users can find an integrated video downloader, so any videos can be downloaded from websites with web players whether it’s YouTube, MySpaceTV, or others.
Internet Download Manager has a scheduler which allows programming downloads in the future as long as the URLs are added. Moreover, all downloads are organized into video, music, compressed, documents & others categories for easy management.
